For anyone with any input,

I am a freshman at Cornell. I'm currently doing research in a lab (very lucky to get in early). For this summer, I have several ideas. I'm thinking of applying to those summer undergrad research programs to get more experience in the research field. I also, however, may decide to go abroad (the UK) and do some research with a lab in England (still in the works). I also, during my summer, visit some family friends in Belgium and perhaps shadow them in the hospital for a few weeks,

My question pertains really to how med schools look at experiences abroad. Is it looked highly upon, ie. as being something that expands the vision of medicine in all parts of the world (something im definetely trying to accomplish...)?

Thanks for your input.
