<p>I am a PharmD graduate taking a few months off due to personal reasons.
I wanted to assist in some research projects at the main hospital/institute in the city I'll be staying in for the summer, and so far I've found three research assistant spots on a career search website (which I put my application for about 1.5 weeks ago and haven't heard back yet).
I also e-mailed some faculty members at the institute who have their contact information on their lab websites and of the researchers involved in the places I have applied to.
It's been 4 days, and I haven't heard back via e-mail from about 3-4 researchers (they are all MD/researchers).
I'm wondering what's a reasonable time frame to hear back, how to best approach other research assistant position and when to follow up via e-mail.
