Research at Bowdoin?

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering how the research opportunities for Biology Majors are at Bowdoin?

Thanks!

From the father of a biology graduate, I’d say excellent. A very strong program with great opportunities both during and beyond.

Research opportunities in biology are excellent. I did research in another subject over the summer, and biology had many, many students. More students than Chem and EOS, but similar numbers to ES. If you can, spend a summer at Bowdoin. It has been an amazing experience.

And if you get bored of campus for the summer, there are opportunities on the spacious and lovely Mount Desert Island Lab:

and nearby Jackson Lab:

The school also sends a few peeps to the major government labs for the summer, as well.
