Research at NIH vs. Other

<p>hi everyone!!</p>

<p>I just graduated college and am taking a year off to do research before I apply to med school (ultimately going to have to take 2 years off and matriculate 2007). I was wondering if you guys knew if doing research at NIH would look better than doing research at a University (such as UPenn). </p>

<p>I am deciding b/w the two... UPenn would save me money on living expenses (home is near there), but if NIH looks better I'm willing to do that as well...</p>

<p>if anyone has any input... i'd be very grateful... thanks!!!</p>

<p>Don't know how good either would look, but there are certainly a lot of lab techs at the NIH who are taking a year off to apply to medical school, so at least you'd have people who are in the same boat working with you.</p>
