<p>How good are awards from science fairs? I am wondering if some of the awards I've recieved from various science fairs could possibly qualify as hooks for top colleges. I am a sophomore and I've recieved 1st Place at California State Science Fair and 3rd Place at Intel ISEF, along with awards at county and regional fairs.</p>
