Research HEEYYLLP

Another desperate title. I really want to get in a research program, but I have no prior research. My grades and scores are good and I'm fairly certain that I can get a great recomendation letter from my science teacher. Would a good recomendation letter and stats showing that I'm competent work? I'm a junior in high school btw If anyone knows any research progs i have a chance at getting into please reply
Thanks!

No one can answer that except for the program application reviewers.

What is “good”? I know some people who consider a C+ good. I consider an A good.

Chill out. Summers can be productive without a research program.

What grade are you in?

^that one, I think

Oh. Whoops. My eyes completely glazed over that. My bad.

Anyway, OP, I agree that you need to calm down… Just lurk around the summer programs forum there’s tons of stuff for juniors. You don’t need research experience you just have to show passion.

Gpa is aboot 3.7 w/ highest possible rigor and i took the act this february so I don’t have the score uet but my last practice test was a 33. I was trying to be brief but really the main question is can I get in a program without prior experience (most say that they’re really conpetitve) but from what chaseholl is saying it depends on the application. Also “another desperate title” was a joke; everyone has thread titles w/ lots of caps and !!!1!1 and this was just another one (not as urgent as it seems). But nevermind.

Just read the op and my last reply. Excuse the grammar (or lack thereof) haha

Ok so I’m just going to combine my volunteer work w/ research stuff and attempt to write my own paper while gathering data from the hospital (interviewing patients or something?). Has anyone ever done anything like that? Is there someone at the hospital who I should talk to?
