Research internships

<p>I'm a high school junior, and I would really like to do some research and work at a lab over the summer. I was thinking about maybe interning at a college nearby...I live between Providence, RI and Boston, MA. Does anyone know what schools would offer internships for a high schooler like me? And also, how would I go about doing this? </p>

<p>I figured a lot of people on here do this sort of stuff, so it would be sufficient to ask. Thanks to anyone who can tell me.</p>

<p>I know Cornell has an internship program for hs student over the summer. but it's really competitive.</p>
