I know how to write a general resume for a job, but for a research position on campus, I have no idea what to include other than my academics. I had no research experience beforehand, so would it be feasible for me to include non-research-related work experience in my resume?

You might, but I don't know if that would help you at all.
It would be great if you have good recommendations from professors in the field.

Luckily I do have one, and I was planning on presenting it with my unofficial transcripts. It should compliment my resume pretty well.

I'm probably going to fill the 2nd half of the resume with lab techniques I've learned so far.
