Research opportunities for premed

<p>I have learned that premed students need volunteer hours (from researches or working on projects with doctors) and recs from professors/doctors.. when applying to graduate schools.</p>

<p>And since Berkeley is in a city with many hospitals around, a student will have many opportunities to participate nearby the campus during school, right?</p>

<p>Does berkeley have a great med program?</p>

<p>There is no med program. Berkeley's med programs take up a lot of time. You probably need a car to do off-campus ec's so that it doesn't suck up too much of your time. There are opportunities but they waste a lot of time.</p>
