I am a senior in high school. I didn’t get the chance to do a research kind of internship this summer (even if I really wanted to). I am looking desperately for research opportunities of one week during the fall of 2016.
I want to major as pre-med in biomedical engineering.
Does someone know any type of center where I can assist/help on a research?

To be honest, I doubt there is going to be anybody looking for an assistant, who will last only one week. At best, contact local universities and ask professors if you could help them in some way.

Yeah, even if it’s full time (40 hours) a week is an awfully short time for a real research project to be able to train you to do anything meaningful. You could volunteer as a research subject in that amount of time…
Most research programs are 6-8 weeks. What are you trying to accomplish?
Perhaps you can shadow someone for a week.
