Which of the following (or combination of the following) would MIT prefer to receive:
1. full-fledged research paper w/details
2. concise abstract outlining project
3. short essay describing the effect(s) the research had on your personal development

how long do u think universities spend with supplementary materials?? do the math bro… witty and intelligent= a win over…

number 2 and 3 should do the trick. number 1 is excessive.

In Matt’s blog entry on supplemental material ([here](http://www.mitadmissions.org/topics/apply/the_freshman_application/supplemental_materials.shtml)), he recommends sending an essay.

My D already applied EA. She wrote about her project in the essay about something you created and then she also attached a very short abstract with her other supplemental materials.

i sent an abstract

sent in research poster with everything on one page, but also sent in a one page long about the research and another half of the page about its effect on me.

did you guys do your research independently or under the direction of a PI?

under a PI. not smart nor resources enough to do it on my own, but at least I learned something and gained something out of it.

Donno if the doctor would allow me to do craniotomies (thats my answer to ur question lol)… it was more independent and with the aid of my mentor who is the surgeon who allowed me to observe the diff techniques he was using.
