<p>You could probably say that. Although, if you’re asking about applications, it might look more impressive to say you’ve done research.</p>
<p>Thanks for your response, franz! I should re-phrase the poorly worded question. For my college app, if I get a letter of recommendation from the Principal Investigator which states how many hours I worked, would that be counted as both research experience and volunteer hours?</p>
