Duke asks you to write...in two paragraphs if you "have involved in any significant research activity" and they ask to please describe in a paragraph or two. Would providing an abstract of the project be sufficient, or is it best to also send in the paper. OR I guess, in addition to the abstract, do they suggest to submit anything else. I am curious because I took part in an activity and I want to justify the importance it had for me, but I am not sure if simply an abstract will suffice, yet at the same time I do not wish to frustrate the adcoms that I have submitted so many things that they will not even take a look at.

any other tips guys? This question is really important for me.

thanks.

if they ask for a paragraph of two, then just give them the abstract

I would write the 2 paragraphs about the activity in your own words and attach the abstract. They can then see the abstract if they want.

DD's schools did not ask for this, but the research activity was noticable in the application and mentioned in the essay. However, the teacher/scientist she was co-author with did attach it with his reccomendation.

So it is preferable just to attach an abstract rather than a complete 15 page report?
