<p>i guess there's 3 of us w/o research experience. nope none at all. but i've wanted to for so long. the thing is, i'd have to give up robotics in order to do research and...that's like a death sentence, robotics == my life. but in my engineering class next year, i'm hoping to be able to do research alongside robotics....i have an idea of what i want to do already. has to do with GUIs and programming. </p>
<p>as i see the profiles of everyone, the people who've gotten rejected and the people who have gotten in, i'm losing confidence. VERY quickly. it's so hard to "stand out" these days...people have had more than 15 APs, 1600s occur in 1/10 apps (exaggeration, i know), and everyone has a "passion". <em>sigh</em> i think about this way too much</p>

<p>no, i was reading about mit admissions. but rsi is more stringent than mit is. so i figured, if ppl so perfect are rejected from MIT, i can hardly imagine the type of ppl rsi actually accepts.</p>
<p>Hmm...I found CC a few days after the Jan 22nd SATs and first found the thread about RSI two days before the original deadline. I mailed it out the day of the original postmark deadline because I thought the original deadline was only for online apps. And i thought that I was the last one to get the app out...but it turned out many more people sent it out long after me! If CC helped so many people find RSI, it must be amazing indeed.</p>
<p>Oh, and I just went to our regional science fair. The results will be announced in an hour. I am not keeping my hopes up though.</p>
<p>i found out abt RSI through CC as well. but i found out in april of last year or something. but i didn't realize that the deadline was coming up until mid-jan.</p>

I sent the form out the day before the original deadline because I couldnt figure out if the extended deadline actually existed since I think it was only mentioned on one page on the entire site. Everywhere else, it still said Feb 1.</p>

<p>Heck, I had a dream a few months ago that I got in a fist fight with my school's econ teacher. I haven't fought him thus far, so I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. Afterall, RSI applicants are generally known for scientific abilities not psychic powers.</p>

o haha no I mean research prior to RSI would involve driving. If I get in to RSI, I will fly!! (on an airplane)</p>
