Hey spyder!!! Ok hi guys i applied to RSI and found this thread now a month and half after i applied (kinda sad i know :( ). I was jus wonderin, nyone apply from NJ?

Hello all newcomers!! =D Add your names to the RSI roster? It's probably a couple of pages back; search for it. It has where most people are from and what their topics were. Good luck!

smileforum's from nj. i'm not sure abt anyone else. if you go to the thread frozen-tears referred to, you'll find a bunch of ppl who applied to RSI and they might specify their location under their usernames =)

Yup yup. Nghi, what's the authentic way to pronouce your name? Is it anything like the sound at the beginning of the word for "five" in Cantonese?

i went to harvard last summer... so i know for a FACT that the wrap is still there =). omg their smoothies are AMAZING.

correct me if i'm wrong, i think it's pronouced more like "ni" or "knee" as in your leg knee. that's what i had imagined when i first saw the name.

yes!!!!!
I don't even remember it that well, I just remember that place was just like a huge happiness store haha

I thought it was more like the "ng" sound at the end of "strong" with a silent-ish "h" i that sounds a little breathy. Hard to describe, but phonetically makes sense to me.

Speaking of dreaming about RSI... I had a dream last fall that a former Rickoid aquaintance of mine told me that I got in, and I remember being so happy... And then my door opened and it was my mother telling me to get up and get to school, and the dream had seemed so real that I could hardly believe that it wasn't. wry smile Good dream and bad dream, all in one.

i hate it when ur in a dream and something good happens only to be awakened by that ****ing alarm clock at 6:30 am.

I think statics' name is pronounced "Knee" but that is a distortion I think of its true pronunciation, which I think is difficult for us nonvietnamese folk.

i heart the wraps too!!

lol you guys are making me hungry...I wish I could go try the wraps at The Wrap!!!

When I first saw Nghi, I just thought it's pronounced "Negi" without thinking. Must've been that stupod comic book I read...

Hey STATIC, is PAUL's last name RYU???
...Or are the names of different people???

By the way, is Paul Asian???
Get back to me ASAP

I kno someone w/last name "Ryu" and he's Korean.

Oh yeah...
I used to live in New York City and occasionally visited relatves in New Jersey

Bluepish...I know someone here in St.Louis whose name is Ryu (he is also Asian)...
I was wondering if he was related to Paul.

o I see lol.

Ooh... I just got my USNCO results back! I made nationals again!

Couldn't contain my excitement. =D
