Research Science Institute 2005

Yes. Also note that 233>232.5

I guess I need to start planning something for the summer
oh well, and I had wanted to go to this program for over a year now too

Congrats to those who did make it!
(hehe...if anyone would be kind enough to give up their position for someone who's dying to go sweet angelic face it would be greatly appreciated...lol) No, I'm sure you all are far more qualified than I.

Did anyone else receive a letter that said they were chosen as an alternate?

where are you from LadyinRed

wouldn't it be better if they mailed west coast letters earlier so that they could synchonize the arrivals?

Sorry pretty lady but I'm sending them an acceptance of my acceptance RIGHT ****ING NOW.

New Hampshire...live free or die..

when i get rejected, ill send them a letter rejecting my rejection and go anyways. he he he he

I got in! w00t!!!!

lol...looks like sydertennis is happy...

maybe...maybe one of the international students won't be able to get a flight...and then I can go! sighh...I am such an evil person, but I'm trying to be optimistic here.

A couple of the international students last year had passport problems, and arrived either a couple of weeks late or not at all. Just saying, hope's not dead. Good luck. ^^

Dudes, i didn't get in. haha. I guess i have to go on a vacation a normal vacation

no go for me. Oh well, gg all

w/e it doesnt matter

"the acceptance letters are standard-size also and only contain one sheet of paper. it says only 50 US students were accepted in addition to 30 international students"
hmm that's weird, last year they were send in a big 9 x 12 yellow envelope with more than just one sheet.

"....WOW. I got in. And I'm not even really a junior, and I don't have real research experience... just... wow. My app said... I did freshman year okay... is in shock"
how cute

"oh well, rsi isnt that great...a friend explained sisi chen's project to me, and we got the results in 1 hr working together. on the other hand, po-ling loh's and abhi gulati's projects were commendable."
Siemens Westinghouse and INTEL STS both loved Sisi's project. She was a Regional Finalist for S/W, and was one of the top 40 in STS.

rejected too

congrats to all of you who got in, but i did not, even though i knew i wouldn't =/

thanks sangoire...:)
hope isn't lost...but now I have to hope until Mid-May! That's SO long to wait! ahh well, I'm glad I applied anyway; I was really considering not doing so, what with my having zero research experience and all....

hopefully a few days till I find out if everything is all clear for plan B...

BayesGuy - I'm from a suburb of Boston (probably one of several MA acceptees).

sangoire - who's Boris? (And I'm not technically a sophomore. It's my second year in high school, but also my second-to-last, so the school's calling me a junior even though I won't be graduating next year.)

static - "cute?" Er, I didn't mean to be rude or offend anyone. Or be cute, although if that was meant in a different way than I read it I wouldn't object ^^

sigh. rejected. guess i'll have to wait for other decisions and maybe look around for lab research at the same time.
