Research Science Institute 2005

Ummm, just to be really late, congrats to all you guys! You're going to have an absolutely amazing time, so hope to see you this summer if I can make it up!

Justin, another '04er

Wow, I go out for dinner and a movie and can see that this thread has definitely grown a lot. lol.

Can't wait for RSI to begin! If anyone wants to get in touch before the program my AIM sn is emperorLZ.

Every Sperm is Sacred! I think it's from the Meaning of Life, and it's great, if sacriligeous. All in good fun, no? And I think the closest thing we have to a mod is Nghi, and I doubt he'd care too much if we meandered a little.

lol...funny funny...
gotta love Monty Python....

i'm curious, did anyone from california on CC get in? If so, could u post ur stats please?

ya how come i haven't heard of anyone from CA yet?!

argh, it looks like CA was extracompetitive this year.

Sometimes it's nice being from one of those tiny forgotten states....
though it didnt seem to help much here....meh

Just to update a bit for the alternates, I am now aware of 4 of them: LadyinRed, FrodaBaggins, my friend, and tetrahedr0n's friend. That means theres only 1 more?

Rejected - Ouch, I'm hurt.

LadyinRed, what state are you from?

On the bright side of life, there's the Naval Academy summer seminar to look forward to, if I manage to get in without having done a single school sport. I also got a $200 scholarship for my band camp. Hoorah :D

I'm from cali and we haven't got our letters yet.

zoogies: I'm from NH

zoogies: I'm from NH

it's close to cambridge, but still...I doubt the competition here is very much...

Ha, ha. I'm from MA. How's life like in NH? We go up there all the time to do shopping, it's not far from where I live...it's great, being in almost two states at once. NH = no sales tax = :D

"Flier--Oh, that's cool. Like you, one of the '04 Rickoids dropped out of high school to go to college. He's at UPenn right now (coincidentally, he was the one with the single and the DDR pads. XP). And another guy from a couple years ago basically took off his last semester of high school to work as a chef in a restaurant, which is six kinds of awesome.

Good luck!"

He was one of my good friends in high school, anyway, he's loving Penn.

hey, a California girl, right here!

I'm still in shock about getting in. I thought I had no chance, especially coming from here . . . it probably won't sink in for awhile. I'm unbelievably excited!

where in california are you from? north south?

Wow...this is a giant thread. I found it when I was searching for other admits to RSI (I got in, and was very surprised).

I'm Daniel, an Ohioan. My AIM username is "Dalitt". Anyone else from Ohio here? (a rapid intro)

Daniel

congrats to all! The competition this year sounds like it was insanely competitive. If its any consolation, some of the best and finest people I know are among those that didn't make it. You all have the potential to succeed regardless of some silly sheet of paper =)

To those that did get in, I encourage you all to register and post! I'm sure I'll see some of you guys this summer.
