lol I know a lot of people who do Rubik's cube too. I was just wondering if there are a lot who apply to RSI you know. my fastest time ever was 39 seconds. kinda slow I kno, but it's ok for the bad method I use. and 4x4x4 I haven't timed since i first could do it which was 5 mins but I kno I've gotten a bit better since...

heh I really can't say whether to include your stuff or not zogoto, i just went to it, I don't know anything about RSI admissions!! But I and static did throw in some stuff, so if that means anything... whatever you do is fine!

Ahh yeah alot of people could do the rubik's cube coming into rsi, but alot more knew how to do the rubik's cube after leaving rsi! There was one VERY funny rubik's cube competetion teehee.... I won't get into details, but lets just say there are some very interesting methods for solving it :-)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA omg...frankenchris...the memories!!

hey all you science research people- please visit my post a few spots down called "Scientific Research Moral Dilemma" Thanks

lol darn I don't stand out after all. snap fingers haha I have a hunch what "interesting methods" mean ;D

bluephish-you still stand out! (to me atleast) i don't even own a rubik's cube, much less know what a 4x4x4 is..... =

so frankenchris and static sent their pprs with their apps?

sounds like they did...I wish I had some papers to put in mine lol _
(btw a 4x4x4 is just a bigger Rubik's cube with 4 squares length width and height instead of 3 like normal)

_ <-- is the funkiest looking emoticon i've ever seen!! that's a new one for me

do you not have pprs to include? oh...

haha, i knew what a 4x4x4 was =P i was merely joking to try to make you feel better ^^

man these essays are really vague on what they want...

haha _ means like starry eyes hehe
lol uh thanks? and ya no papers. I was gonna find a mentor at a university but it's far away and I don't drive yet...sniff lol maybe they're vague so you do what you feel like doing haha. I feel like going back in time making me have a driver's license and getting an internship in a lab and also warping time so I have time for homework and practicing...regret regret haha oh well. I'll let them judge me now. I talk too much

yah i know what _ means =P i've just never seen it used really that much.

what did you put down as your field(s)? and i know this was answered a while back, but am i supposed to put TWO fields and TWO subfields for each field? or TWO fields and ONE subfield for each field? ?.?

ahh i have tons of regrets. =(

Hey another paranoia-type question about the app: I have about 4 pgs worth of stuff now, should I edit it all out or make the font size really small? in other words would they rather I told em all the neat stuff about me in tiny print or less stuff in regular print? an alums submit theirs in small (like 8 or 9) font?

wow that's waaaaaaaaaay too small...you don't want to give them an eye strain.

is size 11 ok?

try for 11.5

lol ya reading size 8 or 9 might reuiqre the use of a magnifying glass ;)
my ideas are quite random and very odd...

you mean your ideas on your rsi essay??

I had six ideas. I hope they didn't mean they only wanted 5 max but whatever. i can't decide which one to throw out

quality rather than quantity. if they're all really horrible or so-so ideas...theeeeen it doesn't help your case.

i think lyn used 10 pt, also changing fonts can give you lots more room! (as well as messing with margins, and chaning the spacing). I use all these techniques in reverse to make my art history papers look longer :-P

haha but all my ideas are of equally bad quality! just kidding, I think they're cool. but they are rather odd. I mean most of them relate to music like how music affects the brain and sine waves of different instruments...
