hey staticsoliloquy, how many Vietnamese were there at RSI? wish I could apply, but Canada ain't sending people this year.

i didn't have them review mine.... i know my dad read it and he thinks it's bad... eh. but what asian dad doesn't think their own children's work isn't bad. mine is kinda long though.. frankchris/static, did yall have this problem, having to reduce the font/margins? i didn't double space mine, did anyone else?

intelliot, are you saying you're an egg? ^^

jthecanadian, what do you mean canada ain't sending anyone? are you guys not allowed to app?

that's exactly right xinerz. There'll be no Canadians at RSI this year.

why not?

and you can call me xine =)

because Canada not sending people. Ontarians have exams on June 28, 2 days after program starts.

Is that the sole reason Canadaians wouldn't be able to go? It sounds like someone could arrange to deal with those two days if they got in.

no tetra, that is the reason I assumed us Canadians can't go. besides, I'll simply put, "RSI said so."

guys. i live in the US, and want to know the deadline for RSI. is it feb 5 postmark deadline or the "final" deadline for accepting it.

It says in the brochure that the application should/must be mailed from my school. Do you know what I can do if I intend to use FedEx or something like that?

It says in the brochure that the application should/must be mailed from my school. Do you know what I can do if I intend to use FedEx or something like that?

^^ when you put on your return address, just put your school's instead of your own. =)

That would work.

As far as sending it from the school, I actually sent it from my house. Of course, everything was sealed though. They just want to make sure everything is for real, and yeah putting your school as the return address would probably work fine haha :-P

Also, I'm a loser, my app was barely 2 1/2 pages long! :-)

how much postage did yall hafto pay?

wait, WHAT? we havta send it through our school?? gah. i barely skimmed the brochure. will RSI be able to tell whether it was sent from home or school?

NOOOOOOOOooooooo hehe

read my post up above:
"When you put on your return address, just put your school's instead of your own. =)"

For my postage, $1.52, I think (don't remember exactly).

xinerz: no :)

What's this deal with teachers reviewing the application?

Can I give them the recommendation form before I've finished my section of the app?

xinerz: no
^^to what?! =(

Can I give them the recommendation form before I've finished my section of the app?
^^ yes... atleast that's what i (and probably many others) did

"Does this mean that we have to give our teachers all of our essays that we write for part II, or do we just need to show them our stats so they can make sure the information's correct?"

dude, RSI is just checking to see you don't make minor mistakes like spelling and grammar and crap.

lol that'd be sad...I hope I don't do that...earlier today I thought I could see the future and then I realised that didn't make any sense!

ooh ya. would acadec be under math/science ECs because there are tests for math and science in acadec or would it be under "other ECs"? is it even worth mentioning if I didn't get any medals
