lol thats very poetic of you

i mean...i could easily insert some names of potential polymers for use in PEM fuel cell membranes...but i duno

^^ nerd =P just write what you feel! (like bluephish said) and go with da flow babies <-- that sounds kinda hippy-ish

A little jargon is healthy since it shows you know the technical name for something rather than just "that one green looking thing that turns into brownish in the fall and falls off of the bigger brown looking thing." (leaf falling off tree)

yea exactly...dont want to come across as a "nerd"
pushes up glasses

actually i dont wear glasses but yea

that one green looking thing that turns into brownish in the fall and falls off of the bigger brown looking thing." (leaf falling off tree)

^^ HAHAAA roflmao

i have glasses. i only wear them when my eyes aren't big enough to open (and since i'm asian...... =P )

are all you guys sending the app in after feb. 1? im kinda suspicious that they are just gonna be like, no, rejected

i'm postmarking mine feb 1, and making sure i get the certificate of postmarking from the post office

anybody else mailing the app after feb. 1?

actually, i got another question(s). Do you have to "apply online" to be eligible for the extension? or can you just download the pdf and fill it out and send it before the 9th? does anyone know

format or online, you have to get it to THEM BY THE 9th, meaning it has to arrive at the office on the 9th and no later. It doesn't mean you get to postmark it on the 9th

sweet, thanks stat
did you guys have an extension last year too? i guess it would make sense for them to do it every year, since the best students always seem to be the worst procrastinators

since the best students always seem to be the worst procrastinators

^^ that's not necessarily true......

Hmm...Questions here as well. Does it need to be sent FROM the school? I sent mine from a mail box outside a store very close to my school, since had I left it at school I (a) it would have only been sent out Monday morning rather than Friday which is when I sent it and (b) I don't trust my school. Also, does it need to be sent on my school's stationery-envelope thing that has the school name printed in the upper left corner?? I didn't do either of these things...heh

has anyone sent in a 3rd recommendation? I have a very good recommendation but it's not for this program, it is in general but answers the same questions asked basically. Should I send it in additionally, not as an official one?

Hm.. I asked a teacher to send mine (it was in one of those generic brown envelopes). Also, my counselor apparently included some sort of letter (you could call it a 3rd rec that I didn't ask for, but ::shrug:: ) with my transcript.

Oh yeah, I started an RSI roster on this forum so go check it out! :)

Last year they gave an extension too!
I didn't send mine from my school, but I had sealed stuff from my school in what I sent. But its always good to follow their directions...

It always takes awhile to sort all the information for the 1000 or so applicants. If it gets there by the 9th, they admissions comittee probably won't know when it got there, so don't worry! Get it in by the 9th, and you will all be fine :-)

And hey now, I think the VERY best students are NOT procrasinators, the pretty good ones could be the very best if they wouldn't procrastinate.

it depends what you mean by "best student." If getting straight A's is the best then I know a lot of procrastinators who get straight A's...anyhoo I worked on my app for a while so I'm not a procrastinator for RSI...just for mite2s lol which i don't really want to go to...

what's the maximum # of paragraphs someone has for any question on the app? I know it says limit it to 2 paragraphs, but would 6 be too much?

lol well 6 is 3 times greater than the max...
