muahahaha! victory!

xine's proposed equation is proved to be false!

24 to 21

Q.E.D. =D

now...back to the RSI thread!

you're just jealous cause they have a player named Gay, and he really is named gay. McNabb is still the best ever, and you know it. ... but i digress.

back to RSI hopes and dreams and wants.... and then getting crushed by that fateful rejection letter =(

im going to hang up that letter haha

lol I'm going to lose it in my desk.

i'm sure a few applicants from CC will get in!!

i think it'll get gather dust in my bulging rejection banana republic shopping bag.

I was afraid that the "9th" only meant online registrations, and that those who send it directly via mail had to have the material postmarked by the first. LOL...I spend all night on January 31st writing my essay and mailed it the next day. I think the essay turned out really bad that way...oh well.

The question I have now is, I now have my January 22nd SAT score, and I plan to take the AMC on the 16th. Should I tell CEE about these scores somehow? Or is it better if I don't bother them? What kind of SAT and AMC score would be worth notifying them?

quick Q guys..ive taken a handful of SATIIs but I havent taken the SATIs yet...psats were ehhh...1500 ish. thinking about it now obviously won't help or anything...but i was just wondering whether not taking the satIs yet would take away from the app, just for u know, future reference...

I don't know, but SAT I definitely helps me in the score department my( SAT > PSAT).

Cool. I applied with exactly 2 standardized test scores - both PSATS. But my Verbal/Math was 1570 on the last one.

anyway, just to reiterate, better test scores can only help you, and psat is the only one that is requried, so don't freak if you don't have an sat.

tetrahedr0n should agree with me on this (I believe this is what vess said).

dualityim: I wouldn't recommend notifing them unless you really did fantastically well and your past performance wouldn't predict that. I know someone that got a 150 and didn't tell CEE, but plenty of people got lower than that did. Its probably not nesscary and will just annoy them.

Arrrg, this is annoying... I am the only one who has this problem? When I write my essays (the 3-5 interesting questions) I either write something really dumbed down (explaining the meaning of everything) or I write something complicated and specific with lots of esosteric vocabulary! What should I do be more specific or less specific???? this is hard!

let's not get so concern with scores. last year, there were 2 rickoids (including myself) who got in with scores in the 1300s range while hundreds of 1400-1600s were rejected, so scores won't make or break you.

don't fall into the mentality that scores is everything. it's reaaaaaaaaally bad

<---- didn't even have an SAT score

My psat translates to 1530, my recent SAT is 1580. Think I should notify them, along with my AMC 12 score that I will receive a few weeks later? Right now I think it's best not to annoy them. It sounds to me that the situation is quite precarious.

but how many get in with lower math score than verbal? (just curious haha)
blah

Its possible ... theres kids who are excellent in both, but maybe make a dumb mistake on the math and end up with 800/770 or something like that.

What was the RSI acceptance rate for CC last year? And what percentage of people who send their applicatons in at the last minute get in? Those would be interesting questions.
