lol I would rofl if they actually published those numbers!! And I think that I can speak for alot of people who have yet to send in their apps, its (obviously) not really worth putting it off (if you can help it. I have a disorder, I think. I am about to start the app and then 3h ours later i still havent started :( ). This is alot more stressful.

I'm not sure; I think that putting it off to the last minute really has helped my app a lot.

The essays don't look horrendous anymore, at least.

btw, sonar, i look forward to meeting you in about a month.

alums~
are any of you applying to be conselors this year? (I'm just curious)

I would like to warn you that the place where you are to send it to, unless you are really close takes 2 days for "overnight" delivery. I am in California. The person at the post office told me that doing overnight delivery today (monday) would result in the package arriving on wednesday since the CEE town has no airport and is one of the 5% areas where overnight shipping is not overnight. I don't know about UPS or Fedex or DHL, but this is how the USPS works in California.

HOLY BUGEEBAS YOU SCARED ME!!!!!!!! Fortunatly, I immediatly realized that I had checked this out at fedex.com like 10 minutes ago. FedEx, FOR SURE, will get the package to cee overnight if it is shipped tomorrow, so there is no need to worry to those of you who are sending it tomorrow.

tetrahedr0n, I assume you mean the MMPC? I did not make the top 100--like I said before, I did absolutely horrible on the first part (worse than last year, in fact) (that is what happens when you forget everything related to probability and statistics).

I did see your name of course, congratulations!

check that (zip code: 22102) for anyone worried about the USPS

Mine says that delivery is guaranteed by 12 PM tomorrow (10 AM at their post office).

edit: though perhaps we shall see each other later (I dare not jinx it)!

"My psat translates to 1530, my recent SAT is 1580. Think I should notify them, along with my AMC 12 score that I will receive a few weeks later? Right now I think it's best not to annoy them. It sounds to me that the situation is quite precarious."

use your own judgment. if i were you, i wouldn't want to push it for an extra 50 points.

i don't think any of us are applying to be a counselor this year. but don't worry, you're in good hands no matter what.

I second the statement made by mruncleramos. I sent my application today (Monday) via USPS Express overnight. They said it will not arrive until Wednesday noon, so it appears that I'm just in time.

oh, man, you're right!

Shipping FedEx ....

Glad to help.

My official transcript won't be available until tomorrow (I decided to include an unofficial transcript and just send the official separately). So if I send it tomorrow, there's a good chance it won't arrive until slightly after the 9th.

Since the rest of my application is all getting there by the 9th, would CEE disqualify me because my official transcript is late?

does CEE ask for an official transcript? I can't remember from last year

Yeah, CEE asks for a official transcript. I'd personally reccommend sending an e-mail to them explaining your situation.

On a side note, I am officially done with my application at 2:18 AM Feb. 8, 2005. W00T.

ah, sonar, that really sucks. i was really hoping to meet everyone ive talked to online in real life (both from here and aops.) theres still next year, however.

today's the 9th yes? all done?

yes. finished.

I'm done too (as of 2:00 yesterday) :)

down to the wire! Good jobs guys =)

Now, when do we receive decisions?!
