Research Science Institute 2005

i'm hoping.

who doesn't schemer? =P

I don't. No chance :)

hope for the best, prepare for the worst. you guys are all intelligent and wonderful! Even if you don't get into RSI, there are still other programs where you can complete a science project for INTEL/SW...but then again...there's no experience like the RSI experience!

hrm, mayhaps we may encounter each other should both of us make it to the national round of the JSHS, Nghi.

haha ya right....i'm doing JSHS for the experience so my goal isn't to go to nationals. but i'm sure you will see my friend, who is also a rickoid, kelley there! She's an INTEL FINALIST and a bronze medalist at IBO. What's your project on?

Its a computer science project (transforming a programming language with a built in recursion operator into a language which doesn't), if you want I could email you the paper. I'm afraid that any substantive explanation beyond emailing you a copy of the paper will have to wait till this weekend however, as prior to that I won't have the energy to write coherently.

Hmm....I just did really well on the AMC 12B (123) compared to how I have ever done, and I have a good Writing SAT II score (800) that I want to send to RSI. How should I do this? Just call them? Will they believe my AMC 12B score since it is only unofficial, even though my math teacher checked it and even said it was 123?

Do not send in your AMC score. Although you have improved, it is not spectacularly high and sending it would make it seem as if you were desprate.

It is an improvement of 20 points though! But I guess you are right....

I still think you should do what you feel like doing.

revive........

yay! =)

how's everyone doing post-rsi apping?

I'm still working on it. I'll fedex it over this thursday.

What are you fedexing this thursday?

I'm fedexing everything this thursday.

I'm International, and the deadline is on the first.

oo! where are you from?

anxiously waiting for decisions. hoping they come the week of March 14th (pi day!) like they did last year.

I feel for you guys. I bet not so many people apply from from the UAE, so the competition isn't as fierce as it is in the USA.

xinerz: check my location.

i dunno if they group international applicants all into 1 pile or separated by country. either way, good luck h88!
