if they really really wanted, they could probably tell from your posts who you are (esp. teh roster and any scores/stats you posted)

HALLS CHERRY VAPOR ACTION DROPS

i don't know, they're these cheap ones i got at tech for like, 89 cents. but they're CHERRY! and that's all that matters =)

so has everyone mailed in their app yet?

lol of course, it's WAYYYYY past the deadline

altairaqua, on the other hand, I doubt they'd wade through 64 pages of posts and spend hours trying to infer who is who, (which in some cases could be easy)
however in the context of the sheer number of actual applicants and the fact that there is no mechanism to verify who is who on this board save those who have links to their blogs, I doubt that anything said here will impact admissions. If anything, I'd guess they're reading this for kicks. Anyways, a personality as exhibited on this board is not necessary reflective of that person in reality.

wrathofgod64 - not for internationals :)

schemer is right...the RSI director read the CC thread during RSI for kicks! He thought it was hilarious. Don't worry it's not going to affect admissions =)

although I'd rather be safe than sorry!

ew ... cherry cough drops ... they taste terrible!

frankenchris, you should have linked to the online integer sequence database; that would have been more hardcore ;)

As for CEE browsing the thread and whatnot, I think that some people would be easily identifiable via the roster thread, but, in all honesty, can anyone see that effecting anything? Unless you lied in your app (in which case, you deserve what you get) or you like cherry cough drops, I doubt it'll be truly memorable.

xinerz, I'm feeling your pain. I got whatever is going around last week. I was taking the DayQuil and now I'm only on cough syrup. I would have been dead had it not been for my mid-winter break.

oh, and international deadline is only the 1st of March, I believe.

Well to be on the safe side then,
Hello Matt Pascke and possibly Ben Jones, (I have my information sources)
I hope you are finding our applications to be literary masterpieces that are a joy to read!

sonar: Dude, nothing is more hardcore than mathworld! =) and if you want it....A000002 (thats actually where I just looked it up =P)

and schemer: Matt P quit right after RSI '04 and is currently becoming a jesuit minister...AND HE'S AWESOME TOO!

gosh i wish matt would've stayed another year. he was such a great director...he'll be greatly missed! so chris, are you planning to drop in on RSI05 as a nobody? :) I think I might come to chill this summer for 2 weeks and stay with an MIT student or something...unless any rickoid want to offer their room? lol

Isn't it spelled Paschke (according to Google), and Mr. Jones is part of the selection process? Does the MIT admissions board do RD then move onto RSI :p?

frankenchris, for integer sequences, nothing is more hardcore than the integer sequence site. For everything else, MathWorld does nicely :)

edit: statics, I think that anyone who has read this thread will let you crash with him or her!

Nghi: Yes! Assuming someone will let me...maybe an 04 conselor will, but I bet I won't be the only one hoping for that. I was talking with ruthdhan about maybe getting an internship around boston and just do RSI again, accept minus the rsi and plus the noboding! Don't think that'll happen though, but I'll defiantly find a way to make it there for some of the time.

And sonar: I'm not sure if RSI would really like nobodies crashing with a current RSI student, almost all of you will have a roommate anyway. =P Also, Jones isn't, but McGann is though.

Mathworld >> *

darn it chris! you're not supposed to tell them all of the secrets about RSI yet!!! Can't let it slip out into the outside world :) wink

lol very interesting.
I hope everyone who's sick gets better! zaps magical healing powers
I made an oboe reed and it plays!! (not beautifully but hey)
there are these really yummy cough drops that come in a really cool container... http://metro.fw.cx/img/nodo.jpg

ahhh, i'm sick tooo!!!!!!!! maybe if ur sick it's a good sign about ur RSI chances :)

AHHHH so sick so sick so sick runs outta tissues

ah schemer, stop being so literal when we're all here having funos =P

HEY FRANKEN you can be schemer's third roommate!

lol I'm not really sick, but I do have a headache! ugh I feel awful clonk slept too much as a result of uber boredom.

oo, bluephish, can I have your extra sleep?

sure gives sleep hours lol. glad to be of help.
