I'm pretty sure the Pi Day thing was a coicidence, but it sounds cool anyhow :)
...have you read America the Book?

does anyone realize that the TPBM thread has surpassed us? NOOOOOOOOOO

Hehe, America helped me with AP American and Government. ;)

I have this feeling that CEE may mail out rejection letters in a gratuitously large envelope just to mess with us...

well that may not necessarily be a bad thing. Then the drama doesn't begin when we open our mailboxes, but rather when we open our envelopes.

I don't think they'd do that. The reason acceptances get a big envelope is because they're get other forms to fill out, I believe. The big envelopes cost more money, so why would you waste it on just one sheet- a rejection letter? The only way to properly mess with our brains would be to send acceptances and rejections in the same size envelope and for the acceptances to get their other forms at a later date, which would require even more envelopes. lol I just hope a rejection doesn't come before the 12th

why not before the 12th?

i want it to come as early as possible... >_____<
but i'm really not banking on an acceptance

I hope we (as in internationals) recieve emails AND letters. International mail is very, very unreliable.

i lovvvvve, let me restate, absolutely LOVVVE receiving international mail!!!! cause it occurs very very very VERY rarely =(

http://www.eecs.harvard.edu/triforce/ (yes, click the link!)

This is one cool name for a research group! I wonder if they'll be doing researchf over the summer...

Wow that's cool - I wrote Virtual Machine Design and Implementation in my app!

Hey everybody
long time since i last posted
Anyways, why all the pessimism...let's be slightly more cheerful about recieving letters.

CHEERS

Should we start a countdown? T-minus: circa, 20 days?

h88, but no one is doing VM work! (Out of curiosity, what sort of CS stuff are you especially familiar with?)
There is the c-- project for a general purpose compiler backend, but thats somewhat different.

I just wish I had access to hardware with a RISC instruction set so it would actually be concievable to write my own backend.

newyorker, assuming it comes on pi day, we should make it 17 days.

cuz if it comes before the SAT I'll be distracted or just sad lol. I gave up pessimism in 7th grade. now I'm realistic because really I have nothing on my resume and I have low psat math score. looking on the bright side, I'm bound to get into at least one of the 5 camps I'm applying to (I hope :) ), aside from John Mack of course.

I hope it comes as early as posibly. That's scary for me: Sat on 3/12, RSI results 3/14, Report Cards 3/21. Yikes, bad month!

lots of summer programs release decisions this month i believe.

lol some others are in april, unfortunately... wait wait
ya plus there are no days off school this month for me!

we get a day off on march 14th :) u can guess what i'll be doing that day
