Research Science Institute 2005

christmas, xmas.
christine, xine.

l33twinkie- yes.. the school that always beats us at State (grrr) has a class; their builder got 1st at Nationals in 4 events ::cringe:: But yeah, schools with classes are uber-annoying.

lol I just joined this year and we didn't prepare. the building ones did though...this will be really interesting/fun.

So prospective RSI scholars, what degree are you going to end up doing and which college(s) will be your top-choice(s) next year?

I think I'm going to say Electrical Engineering, and my top choices are: Caltech, MIT, and Stanford (In order of preference).

How about you?

thinking of either biology, biochem, or chemistry at either Yale, Harvard, or MIT

Philosophy...Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Williams, Amhurst...&c. &c.

Okay...now that I've shocked you, what I really am is undecided. Perhaps physics or chemistry...but philosophy is a definite possibility.

Neuroscience... unless they decide to allow me to major in nanotechnology... i wish...
Harvard, Stanford, Yale maybe... MIT maybe but i heard its a lot of work and way too hard to get decent grades compared to Harvard

Electrical Engineering - MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Illinois.
They do a lot of research on carbon nanotubes and transistors.

good luck to you hopefuls!

i'm not as .. say.. prospective or determined as yall: i'm going to what ever college choose to accept poor xine!

I don't know what I want to study...or where I want to go...

<--------- is a senior

I think I better figure that out soon too...

What do you guys think about USC (California) for engineering?

lol it's easier to get good grades at Harvard because you can buy them.
I'm thinking biochem? neurochem?...er ya iono where to go. help me!
I hear USC has a really great engineering program.

USC is great, but not the best. They give loads of merit aid, though.

For those considering Physics/Chemistry, Caltech should be on your list.

it's on my program but I have to go visit to see if it's bad or good for me...

sorry for spamming but I said "program" and I meant "list." gee, my mind must be off somewhere in the coulds...

I thought you meant a "program" of campuses to visit :)

lol, that might be it :) I'll go with that

I was wondering if you guys sent in abstract(s)/reports of your projects/research?

I did. I attached a little note on it saying something to the effect that ... if you dont want it, trash it, but its not too long and might be good reading.

At least my TeXing skills come through on it. :)

Ah, I TeXed my application as well!
