im from..taichung, taiwan...
and just in case u have an idea abt the international schools here,
i attend mca.

taichung! i have a friend that studies there at the Taichung Girls' Senior High School =) we're from Hsinchu (atleast my parents are)

sorry for digressing! back to anxious nervous waiting!!! ugh ugh ugh ugh

does anyone know when MITE2S send out letters? sry for change in topic again

I don't know anything bout MITE2S, but I think the change from 50k to 100k happened right when Intel took over STS. I thought this was in 98 or 99 as the Siemens Westinghouse lady told us at Regionals, but I might be mistaken. What happened was there used to be only one competition, Intel Westinghouse STS, but when Siemens bought Westinghouse, they thought the competition came with it, but it didn't, so Intel still had rights to the STS deal, but Siemens made their own competition and upped it to 100k, after which Intel countered with 100k of their own. Thats how I remember it at least....

rsi sends out letters. thick for admits, thin for rejects or wait-lists

we aren't supposed to call it 'siemens-westinghouse', but just Siemens..i personally thought the 'westinghouse' made it sound cool... lol

we aren't?
Whoa someone better call siemens quick cause all this stuff I got from them has "Siemens Westhinghouse" all over it!!

ahh I'm just kidding! =P
Just saying "Siemens" can cause a very negative type of confusion with people that don't know what it is.. (like my classmates =)

lol...i think they are changing the name of the competition starting next year

isn't rsi waitlist virtually nonexistent??

its about 5 people I think.. and usually only one or two of them ends up going...

ahh I'm here again! I AM going to fail out of school...

ok...now I am freaking out...!!!

ahh well....life goes on

Every time I start to think that there's no way that I'll be accepted I just remind myself that I have no clue about what my recommendation letters said... for all I know they could say that I can walk on water and that the sound of my voice heals wounded animals. If that's in fact what they say, then my chances are pretty good I'd guess...

so when do u guys think the letter is coming? anyone suspect it'll come next week at all?

i think maybe the week of the 14th?

wow, a taiwanese get-together i see.

I hope it'll come next week, but who knows? Heh, I've already prepared my mom (asked her to stop opening my mail like she usually does).

oh, and Taiwan rocks! ;)

if i'm a foreign student in the US, am i considered in international pool or domestic pool??

wrathofgod, i would think that decisions will be mailed about next week, but i could be wrong..

but quite a few seem to think that it will be mailed about next week..
