I have done research every summer with mentors and have had the papers published. But I am not sure whether to send it in as a supp. I mean they are very little and not too big of a research project. So should I send it in?

It would show something about your interests–which is very important–since you have invested a considerable time in the work. Beware: thicker applications are not always more successful. I think it would be safer then to just sends abstracts. Also note your relations with your mentors: was the work as a co-author, etc…

Best of Luck :)

Thank you so much! And like can you send in more than one?

Glad I could help. I think sending in more than one might help paint the breadth of your research interests. There is nothing wrong with sending in more than one, but of the three you do choose to send, make sure those particular projects were the ones you were the most into and the ones you feel have to most to reflect of you.

Best of luck :)

You mentioned abstracts, what are the pros/cons of sending in a whole research paper vs sending in just abstracts? Do ad-coms prefer one to the other?

Aside from a probably much-desired brevity among thousands of other applications, abstracts tend to be less technical and will thus appeal more to the general reader. Remember, the person reading your file might not be specialized in whatever particular field you chose to study for your work.

Hope that helps!
