<p>I was wondering, where on the college application do you show that you have done research with a professor? How do you show that you've contributed to the research (and what is meant by contribution)?</p>
<p>You can put that for EC or put it in your essay somehow.</p>

<p>If you've written any sort of paper or report based on whatever work you did in the lab, then definately include it. Also, you could ask your mentor to write a letter of recommendation that you could copy and send with each application. In addition, you could weave your research work into your essays (especially ones that ask about "an experience" or "your passion").</p>
