Residence Hall Linen Servce

I just got a letter from Michigan about this and I want to know what the quality of the stuff is. It looks like a really good deal - only $200 for the complete pack.

It is absolute nonsense..I took it last year and wasn't worth it at all. The slippers broke in like 4 days. The towel threads stuck to my skin when I used it to wipe. The comforter is nothing like a down comforter and a bit uncomfortable. I'm in fact going to change most of my bedding to some quality stuff this year. So don't waste your cash.

^ I agree. It is ****. DON'T BUY IT!

Don't waste your money. Go to Meijer / Bed Bath / Target / wherever and you will save a ton of money. They always talk about the dorm beds having "long" sheets, is that actually true? I don't really remember.

The mattresses are twin extra long and I believe you actually need twin-extra long for fitted sheets. And this next advice is probably more pertinent if you're female...I use a white (pinstriped with satin =]) twin extra long fitted sheet and put a nicer normal-sized flat sheet (which is more than big enough for your bed, especially since it'll probably be against a wall) and bed set over it. (I'm not a big fan of college dorm stuff, so I just buy the nicer normal stuff...yeah, I'm obsessed with this.)

Any of the big college-shopping stores (Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Macy's, etc.) will have extra-long sheets. Don't waste your money on the poor quality ones advertised in the mail.

I agree with everyone. The package is not worth it. If you don't want to waste too much time buying dorm supply during move-in, you can always order it at Walmart.com They have a service called Site 2 Store, where you can pick it up at the Wal-Mart in Ypsilantli. No shipping costs.
