I got all of my dorm stuff at Target today and I’m super pleased. Everything I think I could POSSIBLY need in a dorm room for $100. They even have a sale for college kids right now ($25 off of $100 when buying home, bed, and bath items).
I am so disappointed with the quality of the towels (they pretty much fell apart after washing) and the sheets were like cardboard after washing. Trying to get someone on the phone is nearly impossible. I wish I read reviews before purchasing from them. I will be returning everything with a return authorization label that they are providing. Such a disappointment.
Update: didn’t get them. Couldn’t, I got one of the rare dorm rooms that was twin bedding rather than twin xl. Getting most stuff from target and walmart. And from other trustworthy sites.
DON’T purchase from OCM/residence hall linens.
My husband thought he was making shopping easy and they had a guarantee the products would last 4 years. We received the box (missing several items) and we had upgraded to 300 TC sheets.
What we received were extremely low quality items. If I had seen them in a store I would never purchase-no matter how low the price.
Half of the towels were falling apart after one washing. Sheets were super thin. Blanket and fleece were horrid.
And–you can return. But shipping it back was $50+.
We purchased much higher quality replacements on Amazon, Overstock and Target. Less than 30 minutes online shopping.
I was appalled a the quality and can’t believe anyone would think this was acceptable.
Kiddo is going off to school with towels from home. Mom gets new towels. :-bd
I found Macy’s to be a great resource for dorm linens. They have great sales and then typically multiple coupons that can be applied on top of the sale prices. I am very particular about the feel of sheets and comforters and got a great Ralph Lauren comforter for my son for $43 and two sets of Twin Xl sheets for about $25 each. We got towels at Bed Bath and Beyond.
