Has anyone purchased their sheets from this website? If so, how were they?

I’ve heard overwhelmingly not to purchase from them. One of the girls in my hall got a bedset from them and it was super scratchy. The whole guaranteed to fit thing is just a gimmick to get you to pay too much for subpar bedding.

avoid it like fire

I had their bedding for the first two years…it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Spend the extra few dollars and buy from Target or BBB…if you look online in the next few months they will have PLENTY of Twin XL which WILL fit.

Thanks you guys! (:

And now I feel bad for buying from this company. I am calling customer service in a bit to figure out what I can do about returning all of this stuff I bought.

I can get stuff way cheaper and nicer at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and I intend to do this. Now I just have to talk to my mom about returning this stuff since we bought online. From reading the reviews, I haven’t heard one single positive thing, though it is convenient to just buy everything in one shot.

I feel like I’ve been scammed and no matter what the “manager” above says, you have to pay extra to get those new improvements, so it really doesn’t matter what she says. Also, if you read the fine print, if you return their merchandise, products with “free shipping” include the shipping charges built into the price. What a crock of BS from this company about free shipping. And on top of that you have to pay shipping to return the merchandise.

I called customer service today and got all of the information I needed on returning my package.

And sorry for the double post, but I really suggest you remove the answer to the FAQ “Why am I receiving similar offers from other sources?” Stating:

“There are companies that wish to make money by masquerading as the school despite no formal affiliation. We have been working with the schools directly for 19 years. When you order from this site, you are choosing the service that schools have been formally partnered with since 1990.”

Seeing as on the packet you sent me, it says “******** College Bookstore” when you are not affiliated with my school at all. It even says so on your website.

Avoid it like fire as another poster stated. Their linens are scratchy and shrink if you wash them. Yeah you can return them easily but just buy stuff at target.

I just ordered from them and washed the stuff, and the towels are falling apart.
The quality is bad. I called them and they did not seem concerned, in fact the supervisor said return it them. Bad quality , bad customer service.

I looked at their sets and they seemed to be really expensive.

I just bought the 11-piece set from BBB and I washed it twice and it seems pretty good. Wasn’t nearly as expensive as RHL either.

My friend had them last year. They lasted a year, and even though she is obsessively neat and washed them every week, THEY WERE DISGUSTING by the end of hte year- she threw them out and told me to get them at BB&B, which I did, but I didn’t buy the 11 piece set- I got clearanced items though! :)

I’m just going to be frank: Don’t do it. I’ve seen people purchase them, and its not worth the effort or money. Go to BB&B, Target, or elsewhere and save your money. You’ll be happier that way.

RHL is utter garbage. Which is really too bad because the idea is great. Examples: a Package of 2 Bath towels, 2 Hand towels and 2 Washcloths is SMALLER than one Costco bath towel. The one we examined was already unraveling at the hem. BB&B lowest quality is far better than what’s offered for the throw, blankets, comforter. I wouldn’t cover a dog’s bed with the sheets - the polycotton thread count is low, and the sheets themselves have a hard feel to them that simply can’t be comfortable. And the ‘mattress pad’ is 1" eggcrate foam of the quality I see used for disposable packing material. What are these people thinking when they select products like this?

They could have taken some name-brand value line items and packaged them together, and everyone on this forum would be raving instead of ranting, but no, they got greedy and packaged up the cheapest, junkiest items they could find.

Kate,

Do you dry yourself with the towels you sell? Do you have your comforter on your bed?

I didn’t think so. You sell junk and you know it.

Do you impress your friends that you sell the lowest possible quality products to parents and kids that want nothing more than some decent bedding and towels for their college rooms? Do you get a laugh out of that?

You should be ashamed.

Oh! I wish I had found this thread sooner. We bought our S an entire setup from RHL. Not knowing what to expect, we had been concerned about the longer length beds. The upside is that S destroys things like this anyway so we know to go to BB&B for his replacements. Thanks for the advice.

Looking at that site, I think that’s what my roommate had last year. Never complained about the sheets or anything, but I felt his blanket and it was paper thin. He always complained about being cold in the winter, and likewise turned the heat up way too high, which made me very warm at night.

I replaced my stuff from there after less than four months; couldn’t even tolerate them for a full year.

Shouldn’t people be reporting these quality issues to the colleges? The information we got from RHL came to us from my S’s college. It appears RHL gives some portion of the money back to the college.

Englishjw: I’m sure the college gets a kick back. I’m sure they know the quality is bad (this company isn’t new by any means), but if they can make some money off of it, then why not.
