Am I the only person in the world who doesn't use sheets?

I have two blankets and a foam thingy. I put one blanket over the foam thingy, then use the other blanket on top of that. Works for me. I will probably use sheets in college but I like my set up at home.

You can order Twin XL sheets online from Garnet Hill and Pottery Barn Teen. Both have higher thread counts and better looking patterns than RHL. :)

thanks guys. i was going to buy stuff from them. guess i wont be buying them now.

My twin and I both ordered a value pak today. I am starting to feel really bad about spending that much money now, considering the bad reviews.

I guess I'll just wait and see. Hopefully they'll allow me to return for a full refund liike they say... otherwise I'm going to be ticked.

i'd suggest going for the 840 thread count egyptian cotton sheets

^ I heard that once you go over 600 thread count, that the sheets start to feel sorta plastic-y and don't breathe at all. It's also hard to find anything higher than 300-and-something for a twin size bed.

My box of stuff from RHL just came (I'd already ordered when I read this thread...XD)

It's pretty nice...right color, and pretty good quality. It's not what I usually sleep on, but it feels good, and the comforter is VERY soft (I got the 100% cotton).

The towels are in the wash right now...fingers crossed they don't fall apart.

Towels came out of the washer just fine. Now they're in the dryer and the sheets are in the washer.

They all smell kinda weird, but I'm pretty sure that's just a new-sheet thing and once I wash them they'll be fine.

Bottom line: it worked for me. Tip, though: don't order through the web site. Call it in. Their shopping cart is really funky (my mom said it sucks, and she used to design web sites for a living, so she would know), and is probably why people got the wrong color of stuff.

Ok, so I'm starting to wonder if those of you who had stuff "fall apart in the wash" or "turn other things different colors"...did you follow the directions?

It says pretty clearly, "wash SEPARATELY in warm water before use".

Anywho. The quality, like I said, isn't the best...but it will do very nicely for college, and I rather like my new stuff. :)

I got this:

2 black XL sheet sets with 2 pillowcases each
1 black comforter
1 purple comforter
8 full sized towels for
4 hand towels
6 washcloths
hamper for
fleece throw
2 storage containers for under my bed.

Spent 122.96 at Wal-Mart

I bought all my linen at Walmart and it's held up quite well over the three years I've had to use it in the dorms.

Our experience with RHL was a disaster. First of all, the overall quality of the linens was terrible (right out of the package.) Then, my son notices he is waking up with blackened skin. It turns out that the black sheets were turning everything that touched them black. He ruined several new white t-shirts and a pair of white shorts. I washed everything separately, and the dye would not wash off. The comforter was blackened, the matress pad was blackened, the egg crate pad was blackened. I bought him an expensive pillow--that is now black. He wore one of his blackened t-shirts in a hotel--it turned the hotel's sheets and pillow black!! He had an unopened package of blue sheets. I rubbed a white towel on the sheets, and the blue dye came off!! We went to Marshalls and Linens n Things and replaced everything with really good stuff. Same price!! Don't be fooled by the "extra long" pitch and the fact that they mention your college's name on the literature. Everywhere has extra long.

I bought my sheets at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. They were on sale and I got them under $80 and came with my comforter, sheets, pillowcases, etc. I bought everything else at Wal-Mart. I tried the RHL, but they lost my order. It's probably for the best.

yes i bought a comforter from them and they used the long twin bed line too and the comforter is crap, its not even the same length as the bed as you have to stretch it the end bands to get it to stick to the bed and the material is cheap that you don't even notice the difference if you had the comforter or not, i thought it was going to cover my whole bed

We bought the linen pack too and it did not hold up. In fact, the colors bleed and the linens came apart at the seams. You get what you pay for!

I don’t know why everyone else has had such a bad experience with them. I got sheets, a comforter, etc from them and it’s all very comfortable and has held up very well.

Wow that is so strange and it is kind of funny too about the sheets bleeding the colors all over other things. I have had that a few times. Once i was walking around New Orleans, in the rain-big surprise, and i was wearing this cute little crocheted hat that i bought when i visited the Bahamas. It was adorable and a whole rainbow of colors. As i walked around that day i noticed that the colors were bleeding together in the hat and actually were dripping color drops on my jacket. It was an old black leather jacket, so it didn’t hurt anything. I just thought it was funny.

I had some friends in school get the package from RHL and they seemed pretty happy with it. I never noticed anything with color bleeding, but i don’t remember the colors that they had being very deep, so maybe that was why. It seemed to me to be a good deal just because it came with all of the stuff that they needed and was pretty cheap.

I always like shopping around for deals-like at TJ Maxx and Marshalls, but for some things, you just want to be done with the shopping and buy it in one swoop.

I just ordered a set from them the other day! It came in an envelope with all my housing stuff, so obviously my school promotes it? And the testimonial on the website sounded legit

^ Of course the testimonial on the website sounded legit…that’s the point!

I honestly don’t think it’s a good deal at all…I got all my stuff from either Target or TJ Maxx and it was probably cheaper…and definitely better quality!
