Anyone buy their linens from them?

Avoid them, they're expensive and of poor quality. Going to Bed, Bath, and Beyond or Linens n Things is a better option

i got mines at "marshalls" the complete set twinxl....TOMMY HILFIGURE...60 bucks..kinda cheap. The ones I saw at the ucsd catalog suck, and they are ugly. I heard linens n things has twinxl and cheap sales.

Who cares if they're ugly? They're just bed covers. No one's going to be impressed by bed covers. The closest person to being impressed near your bed isn't going to pay much attention to the bed covers anyway.

wise words from McLovin

^lol, yeah Linens and things is going to have a labor day sale, which is when imma buy all the stuff I need for my dorm. I got a comforter set there for only 30 bucks, thread count is 300, I doubt you'll get that quality for that price with residence hall linens.

I saw this link in the UCLA forum of CC. Save yourselves some money.

MCLOVIN well if you dont care of the comforters are ugly, thats you... who seems to not care if things are ugly or not, and who doesnt have a sense of style or taste. As for things being nice is kinda important for me. I think when people buy nice things, well personally me, when I buy nice things is not to impress anyone else, but to please myself and to like wat i have. So yea it does matter if is ugly or not, why would i buy something thats ugly for, lol? And I can assure you that there alot of girls and even guys who care if there comforter are ugly or nice.

Yes Rudy, you have your opinion and I have mine. I just want to state mine like you decided to state yours. Not too much to ask, right?

I'm more concerned about the quality of RHL stuff. And yes, I was a fool who went for the deal because I fell for the "beds are extra long" song and dance. Don't buy from them. Send them an angry email and give them an angry phone call. The sheets I got were of terrible quality (more of a concern than the looks IMO). The beds at UCSD are not extra long. That's a load of crap.

well, MCLOVIN....sorry to hear you got some S H I T T Y A S S comforters.....but they are twin xl, i know some poeple from UCSD who actuall told me that the beds are twin xl....well just buy a NICE comforter at linens at sales....i pretty sure there good quality and not UGLY....good luck...and thanks for feedback on UCSD comforters.

To All Parents/Students Considering A Purchase From Residence Hall Linens,

Residence Hall Linens is a sham of a company with the poorest quality items I have ever seen. Additionally, this company engages in highly deceptive practices. First, the company sends information about their products by attaching their information to university/college letterhead. However, RHL is in no way affiliated with any university/college. They send letters to parents indicating that their linens are the only ones that fit the beds of the university/college your son/daughter will be attending. Parents of soon to be Freshman may believe this is so, but it is a complete lie. A previous post noted that the coloring in the RHL comforters bled into other items on the first washing and other products were destroyed after the initial wash.
If you attempt to return items to RHL and obtain a refund, it can be very difficult to get your money back. I waited a long time for UPS to pick up the items purchased and decided to return after realizing the lack of quality of the products purchased. I was also promised a refund by a certain date after a company representative guaranteed a prompt refund; this information was also a lie as I have yet to receive my money back after returning all items purchased.
When purchasing linens/comforters for your student, I suggest going to a reputable company like Linens and Things, Target or Bed, Beth and Beyond, all of whom sell x-long twin comforters and sheets in the summer months in preparation for high school graduates who will be attending college. All three stores have great products and you will have the benefit of seeing what you are purchasing, insuring that the products you buy are of excellent quality and well worth what you pay. Nothing that RHL sells is of good quality and you will be wasting your money. The only thing you will be buying from Residence Hall Linens is aggrevation.
I decided to post this message to prevent others from making the same mistake.

Too late ^

Not too late for parents of Freshman beginning Fall 2008, which is why the memo was posted.

The beds at school ARE twin extra long, though..that part isn't a scam. You can buy those special linens anywhere now...Target, Kohl's, Linens 'n Things. Don't buy from this company, of course.

Yes, the beds are extra long twin. As noted, most of the major stores that carry linens will have extra long twin sheets a few months prior to the start of the school year. Some stores, like Target, Linens and Things, and Bed, Bath and Beyond, will have special sections in their stores for college items, including linens. Therefore, as noted, buy sheets, comforters, etc. of this size from the reputable companies, NOT from a company like Residence Hall Linens, that will take your money and sell you junk in return.
