residence halls?????????????????

just one quick question..............

how comprable are the residence halls to the rieber vista "rooms"??? we stayted in during orientation.......

because i liked the rieber vista ones, the rooms and the building as well.....

but i heard they weren't residence halls and the only UC res halls i have seen so far are the ones at UCSD, revelle in particular, and they were way too cramped up.... i didn't like them at all......

so just wondering how are UCLA's res halls......

i am gonna be in dykstra if that matters......

i think you need a few more question marks in the title

res hall rooms are smaller, older, dirtier, older furniture, no bathroom attached, no AC. and i believe dykstra is the oldest of the res hall buildings.

Yeah Dykstra is pretty ghetto, just be ready for that, but at the same time it is generally the most fun/social.

"Rooms?"

:( Rejected is gonna be disappointed. Way to characterize the halls, VTEC. :p

i believe dykstra is the oldest res hall. my architect friend who graduated in '78 stayed at dkystra haha.
res halls are pretty cramped...youre not in college to live in luxury so its ok youll live.

i dont know, my room at vista was pretty luxurious. it was like a (cheap) hotel! :p

ucapp: well, its pretty hard to describe them in a positive manner (compared to vista/summit/terrace) besides being more social.

are they really that bad?

i understand....... college isn't gonna be luxurious or anything.... but i mean rieber vista was pretty good........

i know about the no attached bathroom part too.......

so if they are anything like rieber vista rooms - the attached bathrooms......
they would be decent.

VTECaddict: Yup. South campusers can't put a spin on things that well...

It is like a motel room! Pretty much the same rate without the housekeeping. :(

lolzilla @ spending 9K for a motel room

Don't forget the food

the food is a blessing plus dorming is all about the experience...youre not going to be able to live on campus when you graduate

ucapp, why dont you give it a shot. name 3 positives of res halls BESIDES the fact they are more social (i already acknowledged that). :p

Uhh.. uhh.. umm... uhh. I should have said WE South Campusers are terrible at spin.

And uhhh... this is why I'm going back to plazas again!
