West Campus is a great place to live. Ask the folks who have lived there. My son (and most of his friends...all music majors) really liked it. It's the closest to the college of fine arts, and the new Agannis Arena. Most students agree that the West Campus dining hall is the best and nicest on campus. Those dorms have a "campus like" feel to them with lots of grass and trees on the back side (away from Commonwealth Ave). If you have an aversion to walking...there is always the T which you can ride one or two stops to nearer your classes. Many students buys T passes and if you do, this is one way you'll use the T.
