Residency Question

I live in California so I have California residency and my parents live and work in California

I plan on attending either Seattle U or UW for undergrad in Washington state
and then I'm looking towards UC San Francisco for Graduate school.

I was wondering if I don't establish residency in Washington, do I still retain residency in California or will I have to pay out of state tuition for UCSF?

"To be classified a California resident for tuition purposes, you must be a financially independent adult resident of California for more than one year immediately prior to the residence determination date or a minor whose parents are California residents. The residence determination date is the day instruction begins at the last of the University of California campuses to begin instruction for the term."

Thanks
