Does anyone know the admit rate and stats for students accepted to Residential College. Assuming everything in my application is average, can a 2100 SAT score get me into Residential College?

My S is in the RC, the way it worked for him was that he was admitted to LSA and then applied to the RC. So you need to frame your analysis on whether you can get into the LSA. Not sure what you mean by “average”, but I’d guess a 2100 SAT score would be around the midpoint for the LSA.

By average i meant average accepted SAT score.

If you get into LSA and apply to the RC fairly quickly, you should have no problem getting in. They were still accepting students well into the accepted students days. They did fill up though and I’d recommend you get your deposit in early and get to an early orientation if you want Spanish to be your language. Lots of kids who wanted Spanish had to defer their first language course to winter term because they were all full. The RC isn’t really selective, you just have to show you understand the requirements.

Getting into the RC should not be too difficult if you can get into the university. The program will most likely expand as it will be the only living community in East Quad. MCSP is moving to West Quad next year.

I’m actually in the RC right now!!
I didn’t know anything about the RC but I emailed the admissions woman (Lana) and she admitted me after I was accepted through LSA! YOU MUST be accepted through LSA regardless, so it’s not easier to get into U of M by indicating RC. Let me know if you have any questions about the RC since I’m in it!

Accepted to LSA but planning to goin to Ross.
