Resnet!

So I am really not sure which resnet subscription I should choose.

My friend said that 4GB each week is more than enough for facebooking, youtubing, checking e-mail, and internet brownsing?

So will 4GB really be enough for normal internet activities?

I won't be downloading alot of music or gaming

For that kind of internet use, yeah TierI should be fine for you.

Post #2 in this thread is a good description I wrote about Tiers:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-texas-austin/748073-tier-i-enough.html

And here’s another general topic about Resnet in general:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-texas-austin/223614-resnet-internet-ut.html

If my roomate can get on the internet, why wouldn’t I be able to? Do they give you a special password to login or something?

Edit: NVM.

The only password you would use to get on the internet is your UTEID.

If you are not signed up for resnet you are not going to be able to use the internet in the room since resnet is connected through your utied they know who is signed up and who is not. So that may be why you are not getting internet.

Ohh I see now… Thx

When deciding between tier 1 and tier 2, keep in mind the difference in cost for the whole year is only $50.00. It is 4GB vs 20GB

I’d take Tier II if you were you.

When can you make your purchase? I only see resnet for the summer term right now…

It’s on your My Housing page. You pay for it as part of your housing.
