Hey, does anyone know of a resource/database that provides % of students matriculating to grad school and % of classes taught by faculty for each college? Can’t to find this anywhere. Thanks.
Google whatever school it is you’re looking at and “cds” (for Common Data Set). Every school is required by law to have this information on its website. Within, you can find graduation rates and % of classes taught by various types of teachers.
here, e.g., is FSU’s:
http://www.ir.fsu.edu/commondataset.aspx
Finding out how many kids go on to grad school is a bit tougher. In FSU’s case, they do a survey and that info is here:
https://www.career.fsu.edu/stats
I know the schools gather the data on who gets jobs/goes to grad school – they want to keep up with their alums for fund-raising reasons, if nothing else – but other than 4, 5, 6-year graduation rates, I do not think they’re required by law to disclose it.
Given that there are so many different types of graduate school, I don’t think this would be useful even if such a list existed.
