Resources and tips for self-studying AP Chem?

Hey guys, I've been reading the forums about AP Chem self-studiers. Is it rare to get a 5 on the AP test by self-studying?

A lot of people say that self-studying AP Chem is a stupid idea. Its probably even more stupid for me. I have one year of H. Chem under my belt and very little lab experience. However, my school doesn't offer the class and the college class is too expensive.

How can i be successful? Is Ap chem really the hardest AP test?

I plan on studying the Brown Chemistry: Central Science book. Its rather thick.

As for lab work, I will look for random Youtube video demonstrations.

I will recieve no help from a teacher.

Can someone PLEASE tell me any valuable resources for studying AP Chem? Any online lectures? Any great textbooks?

THANKS!

Wow! Thank you rtboyce, that is a great online resource!
