Respectable SAT scores?!?

Ideal score for a top 25 School? From Harvard all the way down to UNCH or NYU

1350+? 1400+? 1450+? 1500+?

or just rate verbal and math individually

Ideal?? 1600
Acceptable? Probably around 1450+, depending on other parts of the application.

obviously 1600, but what is good enough to be the better half of 50% at a top 25 school

You should always should shoot for a 1590. Schools take a certain pleasure in being able to say they reject X percentage of 1600s. But there's a separate thread about that.

Anything above 1420 or so is acceptable to a big-league school

But are you in state for UNC CH? Because in state, its soooooooo easy to get in. I know people getting in with 1160s.

Are you sure about that 1600 reject thing. It seems logical but is there any evidence to back that up?

Princeton rejects over half of the applicants who have 1600s, but I think it also has to do with the fact that some people who get 1600 think the score's a free ticket into anywhere so they don't do any school work.

Unrelated but is 1350 respectable for UCLA or Berkeley for a CA resident or should i try to get it to 1380+

i think a 1350 is respectable. it's not a score everyone gets.

1220 is good cause its above 1000 below 1300, no one really gets something like that. you never know what colleges will do when they see ur grade, just hope they pick u

it all depends on the rest of your application package. I know people with 1100s SATs getting into Harvard and Stanford but they're excellent with GPAs and extracurriculars.

really i dont know anyone at harvard and stanford with that score

lol..........

u have a 4.0 gpa.....excellent recs and ec's....1100+...apply~!...ull get in
