Respond to their e-mails?

I recently e-mailed some admissions councilors with questions about financial aid. I got responses. Am I supposed to e-mail them back? I don’t want to be rude by not e-mailing back, but I also don’t want to waste their time if I have nothing meaningful to say. Also one admissions councilor e-mailed me to remind me to send in another teacher rec. I have already done this, but should I e-mail the councilor back?

just like you said, don't waste their time if you have nothing meaningful to say. in the case of the teacher rec, you probably should respond.

Thanks, I took your advice. Now when he responds to my response I don't need to respond again, right?
