Response for UCSD Tag

Dear ******,

Thank you for choosing UC San Diego when you submitted the UC Online TAG form in September. I want
to encourage you to take the next step and apply to UC San Diego as a TAG applicant.

The actual University of California application for admission is available now on the UC
website. The deadline to submit it is November 30, 2011. On that application, don’t forget to check
the 2 boxes needed to be considered as a TAG applicant at UC San Diego:

1. UC San Diego TAG
2. IGETC

It’s important to check both boxes!

As you know, the UC Online TAG form was a way of self-reporting your classes in a preliminary look
at eligibility for the program. Some UC campuses pre-qualify TAG applicants by way of this form.
Please note that as an applicant to UC San Diego, your TAG status will be reviewed at the time the
application for admission is read, and not in advance.

If it turns out that you do not satisfy all the requirements needed to be TAG-eligible, you will
still be considered for admission as a general transfer student. Check our TAG
webpage for up-to-date information about the program requirements. Official admission decisions
will be posted online by the end of April 2012.

So be sure to submit your application – and check the 2 boxes for TAG at UC San Diego if you
wish to be considered as a TAG applicant. Remember the deadline is November 30, 2011.

Sincerely,

Yeah, I just got this today, too.

I assume it means we’re in (?).

I got the same response. I don’t quite understand whether they changed the policy or if we got rejected? -___-

This isn’t a rejection. I think were fine

congrats!!!

Does anyone know if it’s the same policy as last year? I can’t believe they would do this I feel betrayed lol

This is just the usual vague response they give you

Vague as in wth does it mean, are TAG approved as long as we get our 3.5 by the end of this semester or what?

So is this step only to tell you if you are disqualified for TAG so we should assume were TAG eligible as long as we meet all the criteria at the end of this semester???

Vague as in they wont give you 100% approval into UCSD until April. Just keep following the requirements and we should be good.

Thanks nbz760 I am just frustrated by the vague response, I have calmed down now  I’m just keeping on keeping on and crossing my fingers for April I guess
