DO NOT APPLY VIA QUESTBRIDGE ???
Regarding your comments such as "btw....for future reference....DO NOT APPLY VIA QUESTBRIDGE!!!!" allow me to suggest to stop posting while you are disgesting your disappointment.

First of all, I do not believe that you have had access to the files to the students who were accepted by Princeton via QB, and most importantly, your position that the decisions were influenced by the income of students is a COMPLETE and UTTER speculation on your part. A speculation that is also blatantly false.

Everyone understand how disappointing the news is for you, but your chances are very high in the next round. You have the stats ... no problem. However, this is the time to show some maturity and leadership.

Posting asinine advice such as NOT applying via QB would not help your case ... in case your words are read by people close to Questbridge or Princeton.

Do as you wish, but this is none too smart.

And here's my response:

You guys, I am very sorry to appear as if I was being a total jack***, pointing fingers at others because their income is lower and got in. HOWEVER, let me clarify something here - the sole reason i am convincing people not to apply QB is not only because I got rejected, but because two others, who, if compared to last year's class and people I know from the Questbridge forum, should have gotten in. Furthermore, I DO have stats of people who got into Princeton. And trust me, the only difference I saw between him and us three was income level.

With that said, of course having better stats does not mean one should get in. There are myriad of factors involved in college admissions, and just because I have better grades, scores, ec's doesn't mean I should get in instead of someone w/ worse stats. That someone may have had a devastating personal background that makes up for lack of stats. Of course I wouldn't know. What I am saying here is income is only one part of the equation, but still a major one. If i didn't make that clear, i am sorry.

Finally. I am not that disappointed. Although Princeton has been my first choice, I was kinda sad I never had the chance to apply to MIT, Caltech, Harvard, Yale....all those schools that I dreamed of going when I was a child. Now, with a deferral, I can prepare for a whole month and apply to these schools. Although I do not want to be pretentious, I myself know I am not going to get rejected to every college I apply to RD. I am pretty optimistic right now, so please do not accuse me of posting random crap because of my disappointment.

If you didn't understand what I just said this entire time, or if you see my response as not coherent, i am sorry - my middle school did not have ESL and I got to learn English during high school.

And again, i standby what i said. don't apply QB. Apply regular early decision. Princeton gives out generous financial aid anyways. This is on behalf of all future applicants.
