The deadline for the deposit and other paperwork (which tuition plan I would be using, etc.) was due last week. I sent things I was suppose to give back to the school, and its been a week and I haven’t heard anything back yet. The one thing Im concerning is that the school received the deposit few days later than it was supposed be due by. Should I contact the school or just wait a little bit more?
I would just check if the check clears from the bank for another week. If it does, all is set.
Last year, I emailed the AO who interviewed the DS that we are excited to join the school and the paperwork and check is sent.
The AO replied immediately that he would keep an out for the enrollment contract.
Did you allow enough time for your package to arrive before the deadline? If you did not did you call them and let them know your paperwork/deposit was in the mail? I would call if not. My daughter’s response/letter took 2 weeks but I hand delivered it during revisit.
I will wait for another week. If i dont get anything by then, I will email the school. Thanks
I don’t think we heard anything back last year. (And I was told the April 10th reply date was mail by, not received by) I do know our re-enrollment was received this year, because my check has cleared!
I would probably err on the side on giving a quick call to the school just to make sure everything is ok – what does it hurt? I know it probably depends on the school, but we have gotten emails from our school already (with access to online portal, medical forms, etc.).
@Frydaddy, I. Agree. If they didn’t receive the confirmation they could be viewing it as a negative response.
I would call. Why worry? A quick phone call will make you feel better.
@gusmom2000 if u didn’t hear anything back, how did you choose any possible electives or choose the laundry plan?
@hillchoatelville Course selection/laundry paperwork did not arrive until May.
I would also give school a quick call and make sure everything is in order. if for some reason they didn’t receive it then you don’t want them to assume that you are letting your spot go… just to be on the safer side.
I would be mailing my confirmation and check to the school by Certified Mail/Receipt Requested.
@payn4ward Thanks, I will wait until May. I have emailed the officer today, so I hope I get a response back in this week.
Did you e-mail Mrs Marberger? She’s really good about responding quickly. If by chance you don’t hear something by Friday, keep in mind this is a long weekend, so you may not hear until Wednesday of next week. At some point last year, we got an e-mail telling the boy how to set up his school e-mail, and then all communication went to him about classes and stuff. The laundry plan I somehow missed, and signed up after we had moved him in and I talked to his roommate’s mom. I found the info for it on the parents part of the website somewhere. I did e-mail the Admissions Office quite a bit last year, come to think of it. They are always very helpful, so reach out it you feel the desire. They are there to help you and to answer questions. You will also get a “big brother” at some point, and he is there to answer your questions. (or sister/she I have a horribly bad habit of assuming everyone on this board is a guy. Which is which is strange, because I am clearly gusMOM)
@gusmom2000 Thank you for a lengthy answer. i have contacted Mrs. Merberger, and she replied back that she had received everything from me, and that in May they will start sending more stuff. Thanks for your advice!
@hillchoatelville phew! thanks for letting us know. I was kind of holding my breath for you [-O<
@AppleNotFar Everything is in a good shape, now I just have to wait… This Fall is going to be exciting, tiring (shopping, moving in…) and nervous.
