restaurants open on Thanksgiving

For those who can't make it home for Thanksgiving, any suggestions on restaurants or activities near campus?

Here’s a list of restaurants that are open for Thanksgiving (for dining in or dinners to go). Some are located pretty close to the campus.
And as to events – how about taking the light rail to Discovery Green on 11/28 to see the first annual Illuminated Art Car Parade? http://houston.bizjournals.com/houston/stories/2009/11/16/daily8.html

And there’s always a potluck with other students…

S is staying on campus for Thanksgiving because he’ll be coming home for semester break in 2 weeks. The RAs in Brown prepare a big Thanksgiving dinner every year for the kids who aren’t going home, so he’ll be joining them this year. I’m not sure if they do this in all the residential colleges, though.

Last year, my daughter’s roommate wasn’t going home for Thanksgiving, so she was invited to the home of her physics professor, with several other students. I got the sense that invitations like that were not unusual.
