I need help finding a restaurant for the Saturday night of graduation. Any ideas? TY
Have you been to Del Pez yet? If you can’t drink, they have amazing Mexican food (suuuper good nachos/tacos/culinary specialities), and if you can drink they’ve got a big beer selection.
We’re heading out of Newark following the afternoon engineering graduation. Maybe we’ll hit Main Street for a nightcap.
Figured the whole area would be nuts on Saturday so we’re doing our celebration dinner on Friday evening. I’ll send a PM with a few suggestions for Saturday.
Thanks, we have reservation at Taverna on Main Street for Friday night. I needed something for Saturday since we decided to stay over at the last minute. Was able to get a reservation at Firestones in Wimington. Hope it’s good. Thanks for your help and congratulations!!
Not THAT close to campus (though not that far), but I like Sixth & Pine in the Christiana Mall…it’s Nordstrom’s in-house restaurant and is surprisingly good.
We hit the Chesapeake Inn in Chesapeake City MD after the Engineering Convocation on Saturday afternoon. Got there around 4 and it wasn’t crowded at all. Tasty food, a good view of the C&D Canal, and a very welcome air conditioned dining room!
At the risk of giving away one of my favorite places that isn’t on Main Street - and where we went for Saturday of graduation - try Casa Pasta It is on Four Seasons Parkway, right off Rte. 896 (South College Ave), near the entrance to 95. Five minutes from Embassy Suites/Homewood Suites.
