Accepted!!!!!

Well, I am back ( and right after ohio_mom's post!)

I got accepted to University of Chicago. I am honored, flattered and grateful.
Good luck to all!!

jimbob1225, I think we have applied to a lot of the same schools. Where are u planning to attend ?

wow, this year's results are intimidating.

it's going to be brutal next year :(

MovieBuff, I will get back to you on that once I hear from my last school, Stanford, tomorrow!

Well, good luck jimbo!! I think I am done..!! It is Brown for me!!!

Wow! That's SO GOOD! I'm so jealous :) I wish I had applied there. Congratulations. Don't look back. Brown is so great.

^Just reread my post, utter incoherence. Congrats :)

Wait-listed, which isn't all that bad, since I'm sick of getting into schools I can't pay for.

So unfair though, the person with the 1780. I scored 360 points higher than you. Probably you had a wonderful essay and recomendations and incredible EC's. Cheater.

I'm joking. Congratulations to everyone who got in!

rejectedddddddddddd. worked 6 months on my essay.

congrats to all who got in. seriously, it's a great achievement to be accepted by uchicago. i'm happy for all who have what uchicago is looking for. those waitlisted, there's still hope. GO GET 'EM. =) and those rejected like me, there are other colleges for you. not reassuring, but it's the truth. we are a generation of intellect. i have faith in y'all! =) <3

o.O dude that is hardcore.
my essay-writing process was like this:
day 1: freak out. quit. watch some anime.
day 2: pick a prompt (the "describe your place where everything is perfect" one). think. freak out. quit. watch anime.
day 3: think some more. freak out. eat. read a book. decide that my perfect place is a tarot card. satisfied. quit.
day 4: look through tarot deck. find the Ten of Pentacles. review its meaning and implications in my tarot book. quit. go to friend's house.
day 5: hammer out a crazy intro. quit.
day 6: somehow manage to finish, but stare off into space frequently in the process.
day 7: anguishes. agonizes. submits.

I guess it worked though... I got accepted XD

Heh. I actually found out just a week before Chicago's application was due that I could actually apply early since SAT II scores weren't required. Unfortunately, that was about the same time as midterms...

Somehow, I still managed to get in EA. (Unintentional) Procrastination FTW

i havent get my email yet....anyone else didn't get their email????

I didn't get any email. I figured out that I got accepted because I was able to log into the admitted students site. That is the way to figure out if you've been accepted.

When I log in, it says:

Congrats. UChicago is the s***!

Rejected!!! Didn't really want to go there anyway...But congrats to all who were accepted. You should be very proud!

I haven't gotten any email/mail so I'm getting a little worried and antsy.
