My son just received a call tonight he was accepted to OU MT!!!

Congratulations to your son!! Yippee!! If you or he have any questions about the program or campus, please feel free to contact me. If I can’t answer (which is likely) I can pass the questions on to my daughter.

Fabulous news! My daughter is going to OU next year, too. She’s getting a BFA in stage management!

Congrats to everyone accepted. Does anyone know any info about the priority hold status. We’re there for MT and wonder if we should keep some hope or move on

Mountaintime, please understand that I am not positive and only pick up things from hearsay, but my understanding is that yes, you should definitely keep some hope as it could go either way. It’s not a yes or no yet, but they have interest or you would have gotten a letter of non-admittance right away. I hope that helps you. I know the waiting game is not fun!!

Now the fun starts. D just accepted for MT just as we were ready to sign the deposit check for another great BFA school. What can you tell us about the acting training. We’re not totally sure on the depth of technique that is provided and would love feedback. What strengths does this program offer. We have 48 hours to give an answer. Any pros or cons would be well listened to. This department seems to build an ensemble…whereas her other choice admits on overall talent and potential rather than on a cohesive unit.

Congratulations to your daughter, Mountaintime! Yippee!!! I am going to try to send you a PM, so look for it.

I have been reading for the past two years and have never posted. Now we are celebrating and can’t wait to share! My D just received the news on Tuesday that she was accepted to OU MT! The official letter arrived today and she can’t wait to check the box and mail it back in to say YES! I am coming! Thanks to everyone on here for the wealth of knowledge you have given us for two years. She is going to live her dream at OU!!! Boomer Sooner!!!

Yipee…how big did she check that yes box?! Congrats and will look forward to being part of your lives for the next 4 years. Exciting for sure. The wait was worth it.

Just to say we totally made the right decision to attend OU MT. Everything is awesome. D couldn’t be happier as a freshman and looking forward to seeing her in the first musical theatre production in October. A great school and campus with a wonderfully talented department. Good luck to the next group of auditioners!
